Wing I Report # 6 (2010-06-26)

This report was submitted by WC/MAJ RichyV/Wing I/ISDII Hammer

WingI WWR #6

Pilots of Wing I.

First off, I'd like to give my apologies for no Wing I WWR last week. I was called away unexpectedly on Saturday and didn't return until Wednesday. I then had a hospital appointment to deal with but everything's back to normal now, so let's get on with it..!

Secondly, and sadly, I have only received ONE entry to my 'Wingman - TIE' competition. So, with apologies to CPT Dunta Polo, I am forced to extend the competition by ONE WEEK, it will now end on US Independence day - 4th July! I will not extend it further and, although I'm sure the good Captain will not wish to win by default, I will award the medal and title to CPT Polo if I get no more entries. I know RtF hasn't long finished but there is flying going on, so let's see a little more enthusiasm please. =)

Speaking of enthusiasm, I see we have a new recruit within our ranks - please join me in welcoming SL Shado Fenn who has joined Delta as FM/1-4. I'm sure we all wish him the best of luck and hope he enjoys his new position in the capable hands of COL Gillad Pelleaon - he has certainly made a good start as, at the moment, he tops the Wing I 'Student of the Month' league and is in-line to win a shinny IS-SR!!

When you have time:- Recruit, fly, stay active and, above all, have fun...

[* = Weekly or as close to weekly as possible!]

In Closing:

Now, on rather a sour note, I am noticing an increasing lack of activity - this can only come from the top and I am acutely aware that WSR's are becoming ignored. These are, without doubt THE MOST IMPORTANT part of any CMDRship and this needs to be rectified, NOW.

I am sure that you ARE all keeping in touch via other means, but a few minutes to put together a report that all members of the TIE Corps can read would go a long way to making this feel more like a community and less like many disassociated people sitting alone in their rooms trying to keep active.

On the same note - to answer the CMDR's that have submitted MSE's - the reason no action has been taken is that I am still awaiting others to send me May's recommendations, it's now almost July! So I expect these to be sent to me without hesitation.

Moving on...

This weeks "Congratulations" go to:-

LT Chris Pape for moving up in the FCHG and attaining the Rank of [PALADIN] - well done!

It is good to see that we have a new recruit, I'd like to see more, as this is already outweighed by the 2 requests for reassignment back to the Reserves that I have received from CMDR's. We need new recruits, please try to do your best to find some, I will be happy to recommend an award to the TCCOM for anyone that actively seeks, and gains, some new pilots into our ranks.

The TCCOM returns form LoA today (so everybody look busy and hide the booze!), and I will be contacting him about several things - not least of which is my summer holiday LoA - hoorah!! As a reminder, this will be from Friday 9th July until Sunday 25th July inclusive. So basically I'll be here for another 2 weeks until I'm off. When I return, we should be less than a month away from seeing the SOO once more and the end of my tenure as WC (OK, no cheering..!).

Right, must get on, keep up the good work...

Until next time.......................

Respectfully submitted.

Major RichyV. Commander of Wing I.
