SIN WEEKLY SQUADRON REPORT #36
SIN CMDR: LC Hav Antiel
REPORT DATE: 26 March 2018
SQUADRON COMMANDER'S CORNER
Although I haven’t officially shared much about my background, many of you may know that I come from a royal family – the House of Sasuuna family on the planet Dosuun, to be precise. You can probably understand why I don't like to talk about my background; as a pilot in the Emperor's Hammer, it's easier to focus on the utilitarian tasks at hand. However, in the last few weeks, my father, Robus, the Prince Consort, has taken ill, and I've been traveling to Meer Castle on a weekly basis to visit with him.

As you can imagine, my father's health has been at the forefront of my mind. He's recovering well from surgery, thankfully, but he has a long road ahead, and I'll likely continue to visit him on Dosuun on a regular basis. Hopefully, this won't interrupt my CMDR duties – work is a welcome relief. And don't worry; I'm not in any immediate danger of becoming King of Dosuun. I'm currently sixth in line behind my mother, my sister, and my three nieces and nephews.

COMPETITIONS

I will summarize competitions that apply to Sin in this section, but you should always check the Competitions Center and Combat Center for full details on all competitions.

  • Project 659
Each month, fly the SP battles indicated in the Sin Weekly Squadron Report and earn bonus points for high scores and fastest submissions.

  • TIE Corps on Patrol
For 2018, TCoP is moving to every other week. VA Pete Mitchell is taking the TCoP helm this year, so please note that BSF emails/pilot files will be due by 5 pm Pacific/8 pm Eastern/1 am London one every other Monday starting January 15.

  • TIE Corps Pilot League
Like TCoP, the Pilot League is a single-player comp taking place every other week. The difference here is that pilots have a rolling handicap. Each round, the pilot with the highest handicap score (expressed as a percentage of the high score) in each platform will earn 4 points. The next highest score will earn 3, the next highest 2, and all other submissions will earn 1. If the winning pilot in a platform also beat the high score (without the handicap added), that pilot will earn 5 points for that platform. There are more details about the handicap calculations on the competitions page, but needless to say, I'm very excited about this one!

  • Imperial Storm - A New Hope
This is the turn-based map campaign that the WARDs have been working on for some time. Battle teams led by the Warrior, Hammer, and TCCS battle for dominance over systems on the map. Be on the look out for SP and MP assignments, pilots.

  • TIE Corps on Recon
Submit a screenshot each week from one of Star Conflict's multiplayer game modes (Domination, Beacon Hunt, PvE, Team Battle, and Combat Recon). Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.

  • TIE Corps vs AI
Submit a screenshot each week from Star Conflict's Player vs. AI modes. Iron Stars are awarded weekly and monthly based on unique criteria for each game mode.

  • Wing II Commander's Escort Flight / Warrior Commodore's Escort Flight
These are MP and SP versions of the same comp: fly enough missions to rank among the top four on the Warrior for the month to earn points. Iron Stars are awarded to the top four every month with a quarterly bonus. For the Commodore's Escort Flight, LoCs and LoSs are summed for the total.
PROJECT 659
Let's keep earning those Squadron Citations, Sinners. Every month, I'll announce a battle for TIE Fighter, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance. Your mission is to fly those battles before the end of the month.

Every battle BSF earns you one point; the first pilot to submit the BSF for each assigned battle earns a bonus point, and additional bonus points are awarded for ?80% of the existing high score and a further bonus point if you beat the high score. I'll keep track of points and award IS-BWs for every 5 points and IS-SWs for every 20 points.

CURRENT STANDINGS
Pilot Battles Bonus Points
CM Rando 4 10 (fastest submission x4, >80% x4, high score x2) 14

With another battle completed, CM Rando has earned another IS-BW for Project 659!

MARCH ASSIGNMENTS
PLATFORM BATTLE HIGH SCORE 80% BSFs Needed
TIE Fighter TIE-TC 165 404,655 323,724 1
X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter XvT-TC 111 381,993 305,594 2
X-Wing Alliance XWA-TC 12 87,302 69,842 2

CLOSING COMMENTS
With the next eval coming at the end of this week, it's great to see so many Sinners out there flying. Every active TC flying comp has at least one Sin pilot taking part, and that makes me proud.

That includes Project 659. The calculation has changed slighly with the additions of MAJ Nebular and CM Michael LeRoy (meaning we need more pilots flying to earn Squadron Citations), but I'm confident that we can move past Alpha and Kappa before RtF. In fact, let's make that our goal.
