At the end of the Logistic Officer's Knockout competition, GN Pickled Yoda defeated GN Dempsey and RA Mitchell to win the TIE section! Yods had taken your fearless leader out in the round before that, so I knew he'd go on to win the whole thing. ;) The original Battlefront II received a big update that allows the GOG and Steam versions to play against each other in multiplayer and the multiplayer function no longer requires workarounds like GameRanger. Star Wars nostalgia is kind of our thing around here, so dust off the old classic and go blast all the things! LT Rando continues to dominate in TIE Corps on Patrol, winning all six missions in Weeks 39 and 40 and setting new high scores for all of them! CPT Hav Antiel and LT Rando both turned in the minimum score for the mission assigned in the second round of TIE Golf, so they've both moved on to round three. Well done! In the COO's Star Wars Challenge for September, the Warrior claimed all three top spots. First place went to LT Rando, second to yours truly, and third to LT CrazyCarl. Second place was actually a tie between three pilots and only one of them is from the Warrior, but I'd say it still counts! After the end of the six-week first 'month' of Warrior Trivia Phase Six, the result of some bad timing on my part, COL Mark Schueler emerged victorious and claimed first place! Second place was a tie between CPT Hav Antiel and GN Pickled Yoda, and I'm sure both of them will be doubling their efforts this month try to take the win this month. CPT Hav Antiel had tied it up for second place in Warrior Trivia by winning Week Six. Great job! Squadron Evaluations for September are due and I have Sin Squadron's already in hand after some quick work from CPT Hav Antiel. I'm very impressed, but GN Frown voiced his concern that the report still took seven hours into October to be submitted. I tried to tell him that the deadline wasn't until seven days into the next month but Frown gave me a look like I'd just said his daughter had brought home a Rebel. Frown doesn't have a daughter, of course, the Corps is his life, but I imagine that's the expression he'd make if that happened. I'll admit, it scared me. |
