FROM: TCCOM/HA Elwood the Brave DATE SUBMITTED: 3rd June 2017 |
Phare system A small group of alphabet fighters hanging in space next to an old MC-80. Woody had the lead of the fighter formation in an X-Wing. 'Darkness, I always knew these X-Wings were damn slow, but I never knew they were that bad compared to my good old Defender.' Woody thought. 'How did the rebels defeat us with those?' His thoughts were interupted by some loud beeps coming from the R3 in his back. 'Shut up, R3. I allready told you to just give me a sign on the HUD when were all ready to jump. I you disturb my thoughts only one more time with your noice, I'll make sure you'll end up cleaning the Challenges toilets for the rest of your existance!' The beeping ended suddenly and a small sign in the HUD showed that the other fighters were ready for the jump. 'Woody to all fighters, you know the timeplan, coordinates and all other details of our little mission. Jump on my mark.' While reaching out to activate the hyper drive of his own fighter, Woody said 'Mark!' ***** As Woody deactivated the hyper drive, whirling colors of hyperspace turned into the blackness of the normal space again, the stars in the background, and at a short distance the triangular shape of an ISD, together with its support vessels. Wood knew it was the Hammer. Next to him, half the squadron of alphabet fighters had falen out of hyper space, in perfect formation with him. Woody knew that Pel would be in another X-Wing, leading the same attack on the Warrior a few light years away. 'Gentlemen, continue as planned. You know your tasks. Good luck!' ***** tbc by you, pilots of the TIE Corps ***** This is it, pilots of the TIE Corps. Raise the Flag – 2017 sarted right now. This time you'll face a simulated attack on the Hammer and the Warrior by a small NR task force. For the fiction and gfx bonus competition, please use this setup as a basis. In this setup, only the TCCS was informed about the simulated attack. Not even the COMs or the WC knew about it. The SOO and COO were able to secretly add a safety programm to your ships/fighter systems, that will limit your weapons power when firing on one of our fighters. With this program in place, your weapons will function against our small task force as if you were flying a friendly treaining maneuver. Now, gentlemen, start your engines! RtF is upon us! HA Woody |

Here we go with another weekly report from your TCCOM's desk. As most of you, if not all, allready realized, Raise the Flag 2017 has started 2 days ago. The first bonus competition, the fiction one, started at the same time and its deadline is on Sunday, June 11th, 23:59 UTC. The fictional background/setup for this years RtF has been build with the fictions in the SOO and TCCOM reports of the past weeks, which lead to the RtF start fiction send to the mailing list 1 minute before RtF 2017 started. These fictions formed the setup for the fiction and gfx bonus competitions of this years RtF, so all submissions for these two RtF bonus competitions this year need to follow this setup. But just the bonus fiction and bonus gfx submissions ned to follow this setup. The standard fiction and gfx submissions may use it, too, but they don't have to. All details, beside this fictional setup, can be found in the competition center. The bonus competitions will be added there as soon as they are ready to start. Now I wish all of us a lot of fun during this years incarnation of Raise the Flag. May the best pilot, squadron and ship win! Current standings can be found on the RtF website created and maintained by General Pickled Yoda. http://rtf.tsaunders.net/ We have a new member among our ranks. Welcome to Sub-Lieutenant Alyus who joins us as Delta 3-2! The MoI for Colonel Impulse for recruiting him is allready on its way. In addition to this new member we have 2 vets that returned to active duty this week. Welcome home Colonel Ulrich Drachen returning to Kappa 2-4 from the RSV and to Captain APanasiuk returning to Epsilon 3-4 after a longer time MIA. |
