[SALUTE]

Welcome to the COO Report!

COMBAT EVENT NEXT WEEKEND!

One last Combat Event before I go...

Next weekend will see the Octoberfest 100 Star Conflict Combat Event - A name chosen simply as I like Octoberfests. Details are being finalised as I type, but a draft of the rules can be found here:

http://tc.emperorshammer.org/combat.php?id=100

You may note that is the 100th TIE Corps Combat Event! Not a bad point to end my run on.

The event will run from Friday to Sunday - Hopefully that will maximise the opportunoities for people to play. There are two propsed modes - a straight up vs mode, and the 'team' mode. With 'Vrs', it is as simple as it sounds. A player vs player match - winner wins, loser...well, you know. The Team mode is slightly more complex - You compete in a team PVP match as usual, but the player who scores the highest EFF of that team is declared the winner - all other team mates lose that round, but can still earn an LoC for the Victory. To encourage genuine competative play, each 'Vrs' victory will be worth 3 points, each 'Team' victory will be worth only one point.

Each match result must be emailed to the COO (me, for the moment) and COOA (Silvius, again, for the moment!). We will track the event. Remember to CC CMDRs/COMS to let them know of your participation!

LoC and LoS to be separated

I can't say it any better than our own TCCOM, so I shal use Woody's words here:

After weeks of discussion and a lot of work, the TCCS decided to make a major change to the Combat Rating. Over the past year, the COOP/PVE based LoS points had a heavy influence on the formerly pure PvP ranking system of the Combat Rating. Because of this, we decided to create a new COOP/PVE based ranking system called "COOP/PVE rating". For every LoS earned a pilot will receive one point on the new COOP/PVE rating. The details for the new system, as they'll be added to the website and the TCPM are as follows:

COOP/PVE rating listing

TIE Corps COOP/PVE Rating is a special ranking system, similar to Fleet Commander's Honor Guard (FCHG), or the Combat Rating, that rates pilots and officers in the TIE Corps by multiplayer COOP and PVE activity and performance using a point system. Unlike the FCHG system, COOP/PVE Rating rates pilots only by multiplayer COOP/PVE activity.

The COOP/PVE Rating knows the following ranking system, based on the number of points awarded:

Beginner 1 point needed
Qualified 10 points needed

Private 4th 25 points needed
Private 3rd 50 points needed
Private 2nd 75 points needed
Private 1st 100 points needed

Gunner's mate 4th 150 points needed
Gunner's mate 3rd 200 points needed
Gunner's mate 2nd 250 points needed
Gunner's mate 1st 300 points needed

Campaigner 4th 375 points needed
Campaigner 3rd 450 points needed
Campaigner 2nd 525 points needed
Campaigner 1st 600 points needed

Ranger 4th 700 points needed
Ranger 3rd 800 points needed
Ranger 2nd 900 points needed
Ranger 1st 1,000 points needed

Master Ranger 4th 1,250 points needed
Master Ranger 3rd 1,500 points needed
Master Ranger 2nd 1,750 points needed
Master Ranger 1st 2,000 points needed

Ace Ranger 4th 2,500 points needed
Ace Ranger 3rd 3,000 points needed
Ace Ranger 2nd 3,500 points needed
Ace Ranger 1st 4,000 points needed

Top Ace Ranger [TAR] 5,000 points needed

Points can be awarded for the following flight activity:
every Legion of Skirmish earned 1 point

The new system will go life as soon as the changes to the website/database are made. Scores on the Combat Rating and the new COOP/PVE rating for every pilot will be calculated on the basis of past LoS/LoC/DFC awards over the course of a couple of days after the system is added to the database. The TCPM will be changed accordingly within short time.

COOA TO BECOME COO

Congratulations to LC Silvius on his immanent ascention to the position of Combat Operations Officer! His service as COOA has been exemplary, and the promotion well deserved. I wish you all the very best for your time as COO!

Simply submit your MP Screenshot report as normal, and the COO and COOA will track the number of matches played on any Star Wars MP platform, such as XvT, XWA, BF3, and all other approved MP platforms.

Both PvP and PvE matches count towards a pilot's total.

The player with the highest overall Star Wars based MP victories will win each month, and for the year over all.

Normal Screenshot submission requirements apply.

Screenshots that are submitted that were not taken in a given month, or very close to the start of it, will not count towards that month's total, but will count for the yearly total.

Simply submit as if it were any other screen, or with a valid victory screen, and the COO office will do the rest!

COO'S ACTIVITIES
Mail/telegram activity
Processed LoC and LoS
Played Fighter Squadron a little
Agreed new LoC/LoS split with the Admiralty
Made an empassioned arguement that SW:FA is, in fact, the bloodiest film in history, with the showing of several populated worlds destroyed simultaneously, thus resulting in a loss of life unparralled in cinematic history. Or at least, as far as my personal cinematic history is concerned.
AND FINALLY...
Hope to see you at the combat event! And thanks again for all your support this last year.

respectfully submitted,

AD Hawkins
