Wing I Report # 2 (2016-05-02)

This report was submitted by WC/MAJ Narven Task/Wing I/ISDII Hammer

<SALUTE>

Somewhat quiet week this week, no shenanigans going on that needed breaking up. Other than those messages about primitive land vehicles, that is. Ugh, I think I just drew more attention to it. Disgusting.

Speaking of things that are beneath us, I haven't heard anything about the "Cola Wars" since last week. I couldn't be more pleased.

Ending just after my next report is the competition our COM set up before her departure. As much as I'd like that arrangement to be permanent so that I can continue my time in the spotlight, I admit that her return is scheduled and guaranteed. Your assignment is to write about my brilliant command of the ship during her absence, which I'm sure will be quite simple because I'm doing such an outstanding job. More details here. Other active competitions are listed in the database in the usual place.

This week, MAJ Mauser and CM Archenksov won competition medals from a ground combat simulator of some kind. Once again, I must condone any time spent on activities that no respectable Imperial pilot would dirty their hands with, but I can appreciate their efforts to keep awards out of grubby Warrior hands.

Similarly, GN Golbez Harvey and GN Coronel Both took the top two places in TIE Corps on Patrol for April. They did an excellent job, I'm sure.

In TIE Corps on Recon, CPT Silvius, COL Clark and GN Polo all received awards. I must admit that my eyes glaze over whenever someone tries to explain this "alternate reality" or whatever it is. Makes it hard to take seriously.

The end of another month brings with it evaluation time. It's a great opportunity to look over our ranks and trim away any dead weight, as if pruning a plant so that the rest can thrive. I suppose we might also discuss promotions and merit awards, though I'll be surprised if there's much to say about those. I'm not easily impressed. The CMDRs have been directed to send me their best attempt at something that might meet with my approval.

Until then, I return you to your normal duties. Duties that now include an extra patrol so that the maintenance crews have more time to clean up the mess you call quarters. When you get back, we'll have a chat about proper care of your billets. This starts by reminding you that they are not your property. Your quarters existed before you, continue to exist in spite of you, and will exist long after your eventual demise. Sooner or later they will be home to another pilot and we'll begin the cycle over again. On and on until the ship is decommissioned, which I find hard to believe would ever happen to a ship as fine as the Hammer.
