Hi folks

With the release of Battlefront 3, the TC has a new gaming platform. Although only on probation, it's a good step tot ake, and hopefully we will attract new members. SO everyone who's doing Battlefront 3, get out your recruiting speeches!

After last week's flood of high merit medals, things are slowing down again a bit, which is normal considering the end of the year is approaching fast. For the time being, I have given up on Star Conflict myself. Lack of time, other things to do, SP flying, and a PC that hates me are the main reasons here. Fortunately, I should be getting a brand new PC tomorrow. Now I just hope I can run the old games smoothly on that Windows 10 system. As I understand it's gonna take some getting used to anyway.

Also kudos to CM Doc who was responsible for coming up with , the new name of our Dreadnought in Star Conflict.

Good news: once again COL Golbez Harvey took some first places in the TCoP competition, and earning himself even more high scores. I even managed to grab a new HS myself, even though I am clueless as to how I managed to do that....

This week I am also running a little Hammer trivia competition, called screenshots 101. I don't remember why I went with this, as there's nothing about screenshots there, but who cares. The main objective is to test the code I wrote, so hiopefully everything works out. I've added some logging to it so if stuff goes wrong I should be able to see something, but let's assume it works for now. Even though Warrior pilots cannot qualify for the medals, I dare them to participate anyway. After all: the more testing, the better. See below for competition details.

It seems no one is rising up yet to create a battle from my winning storyline in Plif's competition. I hope that will change soon :) Meanwhile, I finished creating a battle from LCM Spiffy's storyline submission, and it has been submitted to the TAC. And just for the fun of it, I submitted a mission for the TAC's mission creation contest as well. He should be more specific in his descriptions, because this one has him as the actual bad guy. probably not what he was going for....

INN news reports are showing up every now and then, and it would appear we have avoided another major catastrophy in the EH. Those damned Ewoks, can't they just stay on their moon! I think the HCI made the right decision here. I am also happy with my free, signed copy of My Day aboard the ISD-II Hammer. I know Warrior pilots have been scoffing at the book and its pricetag, but it's a good read and definitely worth every credit! And no, I'm not saying that because I get paid for it.

Dempsey's Weekly Riddles

Every week, the report will have a riddle. First pilot to send the correct answer to the mailing list wins. Each victory earns you an IS-BR. Unless it's a 5th victory, you then get a IS-SR. Unless it's a 10th victory, which gives you an IS-GR. A 25th victory will give you an IS-PR!

This week's riddle: COL Frown is on the warpath again, and has set you up for a test: he has locked you in a room with 3 switches. Each switch controls a lightbulb in the next room, so there are 3. The two rooms are connected by a door which you are allowed to pass through only once (from A to B and back to A). However, when the door is open, you cannot see the lightbulbs or the light they emit, you will have to actually walk into the room with the lightbulbs. You task is to positively identify which switch controls which light bulb. Explain how you can do this.
