Commodore HA Dempsey reporting
Report ID: H.AD.034
Report date: October 25, 2015
Attention pilots of the mighty ISD-II Hammer!
If you're not on the ISD-II Hammer roster you should probably put this datapad away as the information contained herein is highly classified!
Ok, now we have that out of the way.... let's get started. This will probably be a short report (you know me...) - it seems things are slowing down with the end of the year near. The next Ship Evaluation is already around the corner again, with October having less than a week left. Commanders, start pondering your MSE medal recommendations, and chastise the pilots who do not yet meet the standards!
Last week saw the resurrection of an ol tradition in the TC: The ISD-II Warrior has erected its own website. I recall the old days on the ISD Challenge when that ship, too, had its own website, and my own attempts at squadron websites for Delta and Inferno. Perhaps it's something to ponder for the Hammer as well.... Assuming there's someone willing to spend the time to do that.
The month nears its end, and so do sevferal monthly competitions. I noticed I am hopelessly behind in several TC wide competitions, but I do believe I have a fair chance in the TIE Fighter Battle 11 competition. With only 2 submissions so far I'm guaranteed a shiny :) You have until the 31st to submit your own pilotfile. Unfortunately, it seems the competition lost GN Master as competitor, but I have hope he will at some point submit pilotfiles to complete his run!
There were several promotions, medals and changes of command last week, but they were pretty much all on the Warrior so I'll leave that to VA Plif. Most notable of this is of course the awaring of an Imperial Cross to GN jarek La'an. And speaking of VA Plif - his TIE Corps Battle Storylines competition also has a few days left. If you have an idea, I'd recommend writing it down and sending it in. Who knows, you may even with a shiny for it, and if you don't qualify for a medal, the TAC may still decide to award you with a Commendation of Service (yeah I know, Tempest. Never mind :)
I'd also like to congratulate COL Golbez Harvey on once again dominating the TIE Corps on Patrol competition. It seems no one is able to stop him!
The new TC Newsletter has a name - The COMMODORE. Not my choice, but in the end, it's only a name. I would have preferred the runner-up being the winner. And that's just because that would have been my suggestion :) Now to come up with a nice submission, so I can earn my first ever Letter of Achievement!
I think that's pretty much it for this week. Until next week!
If you wish to take on any of the following positions, send an application to the Squadron Commander (if applicable) and Commodore:

Dempsey's Weekly Riddles
Every week, the report will have a riddle. First pilot to send the correct answer to the mailing list wins. Each victory earns you an IS-BR. Unless it's a 5th victory, you then get a IS-SR. Unless it's a 10th victory, which gives you an IS-GR. A 25th victory will give you an IS-PR!
This week's riddle: Because COL Frown is a psychopath, he has randomly picked one of the Warrior pilots and put him in a room with 3 doors. The room has 3 doors, each with a note attached. Our pilot has exactly 1 hour to make a choice an exit the room through one of the doors. The note on door #1 says: "In this room I have set a fire that is guaranteed to rage for at least 2 more days." The note on door #2 says "Behind this door you will find a dozen IG-88 assassin droids with loaded guns and orders to shoot to kill." The note on the 3rd door says "Behind this door you will find a half dozen Vronskrs that haven't been fed in a year". If you were our unfortunate Warrior pilot, which door would you choose (and why!)?
Last week's winner: RA Hawkins
Current standings: RA Hawkins: 12; FA Woody: 7; LC Clark: 5; AD Pellaeon : 3; LCM Hav Antiel, CM Doc, CM Archenksov: 2; HA Bonini, GN Pickled Yoda, COL La'an, LC Tempest, MAJ Fenn, CM Jast: 1
