Introduction

It's been a quiet week, with much less bloodletting for my affection than I would have liked. Oh well. We'll see about improving our activity in the coming week before I start chucking pilots out of the airlocks.

Anyone caught talking to one of those creeps from INN will be shot. Out of a torpedo launcher. Into the nearest black hole. And yes, INN, you can quote me on that.

News

The first week of Alpha Dog was pretty underwhelming, but we still have ten more days before I crown the Alpha Dog of September. Nevertheless, congratulations to LT Milo Antu for his shiny new IS-BR - it's his first IS, but I'm sure there will be many more to come. Antu's consistent mail activity was enough to overcome the only flying activity this week, a Star Conflict PVE match submitted by LC Iceman. That Iron Star will be getting him another five points, but hopefully the rest of you will put up a fight instead of letting him cruise to an easy victory again next week. All hail the Alpha Dog of the Week, bow-wow-woooow!

Competitions

Per some discussions with the COM and the other Hammer CMDRs, I'm not going to be listing competitions unless they're a) new, b) have changed somehow (e.g. One Hammer), or c) will be ending soon.

• *THIS* is the TIE Corps – Technically we still have 10 days on this one, but it's a pretty big deal.
• One Hammer to Rule Them All – Check our beloved COM's weekly report for two assignments, one flying and one not. Mail submissions to HA Dempsey. Last week's assignments (due Tuesday):
  • Round #3 Flying Assignment: Fly a Star Conflict PvE mission on Tier 1: highest amount of credits earned wins. Screenshots to be submitted to the COM for the competition, don't forget to submit them through the website to earn a Legion of Skirmish!
  • Round #3 Non-flying Assignment: Trivia: complete the 10 trivia answers you can find at the given URL (link to trivia questions). Note that:
    
    • you must be logged into the TC database to be able to access the questions or submit your answers
    • Each competitor gets the same questions, but in a different order
    • You can only submit your answers ONCE, but you do not have to leave the window open
    • You have to submit all answers in one go
    • IMPORTANT: you can only submit answers ONE time, hitting the submit button will end your competition
    • Winners decided based on number of correct answers and time needed to complete the trivia, your time begins when you first see the questions!

• Round #4 Flying Assignment: Fly TIE free 99. Your score is the laserless score multiplied by the # of warheads fired, divided by the # of warhead hits - whoever gets closest to 3274 points wins.
• Round #4 Non-flying Assignment: The Walking dead - We're shooting zombies today: http://www.addictinggames.com/zombie-games/dead-zed-2-game.jsp - send a screenshot to the COM and the highest score wins.
• Alpha Dog of the Month - Get points from participating in TC activity. The most active Alpha pilot each week gets a IS-BR and each month gets a IS-SR.
