Commodore HA Dempsey reporting
Report ID: H.AD.028
Report date: September 13, 2015
Lots of good things are happening to the ISD Hammer. And fortunately, they are overshadowing the bad. Let's get things going....
First off, promotions and reassignments have gotten rid of our only sub-lieutenant as Milo Antu earned his first promotion, and we saw the return of COL Rau Aznable, former COM of the ISD Colossus and MC80b Redemption. Good luck to you both in your new positions! I'd also like to congratulate LT Sharu on winning his first competition medal as he won last week's Delta trivia competition. Great start!
Next up, I'm happy to report that COL Golbez Harvey continues to dominate the TIE Corps on Patrol competition, taking once again first place in all three missions last week! I see many many FCHG points in your future, Colonel. Keep this up and you will reach Imperator one day! Congrats in in order to both him and CPT Mauser who managed to score 8 mission high scores and 1 battle high score between the two of them this past week!
Speaking of Domination, CPT Hawkins won yet another round of the Weekly Riddles. I've lost count how many he won in a row now, but it would almost seem like everyone else has given up! His win this time was a 10th, and so the usual IS-BR was upgraded to an IS-GR for him!
Last week, the LO also started a Telegram chat, which seems to be taking off quite nicely. It's like WhatsApp, only participants don't get to see your phone number. Which I think is a plus. Go sign up if you haven't already. The invite link is in your email somewhere, or you can harass Mark for it if you can't find it!
This month's Hammer-wide competition, One Hammer to Rule Them All is also getting some attention, although I would like to see more. The week 3 non-flying assignment is a simple 10-question trivia, so I expect at least TEN submissions!
I continue to send in my screenshots for TIE Corps on Recon, although I'm apparently so bad at this game I'm pretty much playing for the participation points only. As you may have gathered, I thoroughly despise most of the changes made to Star Conflict this week. Personally, I don't enjoy being thrown in a battle that's already started (where you might even already have lost....), or to start a fight as 2v2 only to grow to 12v12 shortly. 24 players is too much I think. Add to that the fact they seem to have limited game times, I now rarely see a game finish because the goals have been achieved. Usually it's a time out and whoever has more points wins. Not good. Plus the new PvE mission... let's not go there.... The only good thing is the wait times for a PvP have dropped from several minutes to several seconds.
Back to more happy news: I'm also looking forward to the LO's new competition, the LO's TIE Fighter Knock Out. It has some similarities to the old TIE Golf thing, but enough differences to be very interesting indeed. Perhaps I can grab me a few shinies there. If you're a TIE pilot and haven't sighned up yet, send an email to Mark Schueler, perhaps you are still on time!
Also - several of us saw our MSE medals come in this week. I received a Bronze Star of the Empire, while a couple of ISM's and PC's also found their way here. The bad news is that it's only 5, which is way too few for a ship of 36 pilots. However, I have good hopes for this month. Also, the Commendations of Loyalty were awarded in a grand ceremony aboard the ISD Challenge. I was invited to see 5 of my pilots receive one. Yeehaw!
There's also been a lot of fuss over a new mobile game, Star Wars: Uprising. It seems like fun, but I haven't figured out a way yet to make this into a viable competition. If anyone else has plans, feel free to go ahead. Just be sure you know what you're getting into, it was a 500+ MB download!
It seems the Alpha Commander has started a new squadron competition to see who is most active in his squadron. All Alpha pilots are to report to their fighters or quarters for their assignments and duties!
For a change, I will end this report on a minor note, as we had to say goodbye this week to LT Lord Toxicon. Shortly after earning his Bronze Star of the Empire in October last year he went on a mission to investigate Alien activity in the Jericho sector and has never returned. We have given up hope of seeing him again soon.
I lied.... that was't the last. Remember I will be on LoA starting tomorrow morning early. I may or may not be able to finish up last week
of the Hammer-wide competition. If not, that will have to wait until Friday. All stuff that cannot wait will have to go straight
to the SOO, AD Pellaeon!
If you wish to take on any of the following positions, send an application to the Squadron Commander (if applicable) and Commodore:

I think we can say the Hammer is doing pretty well. There is however plenty of room for improvement!
