Good day pilots of the TIE Corps! It is time for another report on last week's activity.

LC Iceman is still on leave. Commander duties are transferred to either LCM Archenksov, or myself. For this, again I thank him.

As most of you have noticed, the July MSE medals have arrived (for most of us). It's good to see so many squadron commanders earn themselves a medal, and I'm happy to see I received an Imperial Security Medal. It may be one of the lowest tier medals, but it's also one I haven't gotten very often, which is a nice change of pace. Grats to the others who also received an ISM, and to LC Clark and CM Doc who grabbed themselves a Palpatine Crescent.

Recommendations for the Commendation of Loyalty were received, made, and are now of the FC's desk awaiting approval. The Hammer has 4 CoLs to give away, and with any luck the SOO or TCCOM will add one to the list to make 5, but we'll see about that.

After a long long time, the TAC has released a new battle to the Compendium: X-wing IW 12: Mereen Insurgency. It's been a long time since a new X-wing battle was added, so that's nice. There's another X-wing battle queued, and I am testing CPT Hawkins' efforts to bring the original X-wing Tours of Duty to the TIE Fighter platform. Another XWA battle is also being tested, so it's interesting to see what happens then.

The TCCOM is also on semi-leave, but will be keeping an eye on us all. As such, the TIE Corps on Patrol competition goes on, so if possible, fly one of those missions. We took half of the medals this week, including first place twice, which is always good :)

Also a good thing: after I cancelled Hammer on recon due to a serious lack in participation, the SOO has picked it up and created the TIE Corps on Recon competition. The rules and all are the same, only you send your screenshots to the SOO now instead of me. With the Warrior pilots also participating, it'll be interesting to see how good we are!

Announced before, and just to keep interest going, I'm still working on a Hammer wide competition in August. Most likely, it'll be 4 subcompetitions in 4 weeks and some overall winners, with all having a chance to participate. Right now, I'm thinking a flying and a non flying event each week, so everyone will be able to participate.

Dempsey's Weekly Riddles

Every week, the report will have a riddle. First pilot to send the correct answer to the mailing list wins. Each victory earns you an IS-BR. Unless it's a 5th victory, you then get a IS-SR. Unless it's a 10th victory, which gives you an IS-GR. A 25th victory will give you an IS-PR!
