Commodore HA Dempsey reporting
Report ID: H.AD.020
Report date: June 28, 2015
The might of the Imperial-II class Star Destroyer Hammer was raining down on the enemy starfighters that were swiftly approaching. Silently
staring through the bridge viewport, Commodore Dempsey counted the tell tale signs of the small explosions. The Hammer's gunners were doing
their job well. She knew the wargames were lost though. The Warrior had deployed its starfighter squadrons, which were far more effective at
taking out the enemy starfighters. Unfortunately, the Hammer's starfighter squadrons were severely crippled. The handful of fighters that were
out there were doing their job, and very well, but it was simply not enough. "We'll get them next year..." she thought to herself.
Well, technically speaking Raise the Flag 2015 isn't over yet, but with little more than 2 days left to go and well over 2200 points behind, I dare say there's little we can do about that. It would appear the squadron standings and pilot standings are also pretty much sorted. So looking back, at least I can say we did better than last year. As I write this, the top 2 pilot spots are Hammer pilots. At least we'll be taking one of the big prizes. Whatever they may be, Kudo's go out to all participants, and at the risk of forgetting someone, good work to COL Harvey, LC Clark and CPT Mauser on their number of points earned (and the number of high scores gained!).
Well, we already took one actually when LC Clark bagged the fiction competition, and we still have the SP Bonus competition to worry about. Those extra points won't count for a pilot's personal points, but they will count for ship and squadron. Also, last year we had a Hammer squadron coming in dead last, and this year that is also not the case. Every cloud has a silver lining :)
Onto more pressing concerns. The month is nearly done, so the Hammer on Recon screenshots for next week are to be sent to VA Pellaeon for scoring. He will be hosting this competition for all of July. Upon my return to duty on the 27th, the next month will begin.
Commanders, your Monthly Squadron Evaluations are due in my inbox NO LATER than this Friday. On Friday I will submit my Ship Evaluation with the MSEs I have received. If yours is not with them, you will be subject to VA Pellaeon's direct authority! By the way, that also goes for squadron reports - I do expect them on a weekly basis once again.
Last call to all pilots: you have 2 (two) more days to submit your pilotfiles for The GoG Games: TIE Fighter Battle 6. And remember - next month is for Battle 7: Treachery at Ottega AND Battle 8: Strategic Warfare. And remembers you can always join in if you haven't flown before - you can still earn points for participation, achieved rank and the per battle winners!
Last but not least, simply last because the email came in as I was writing this, congratulations to LCM Trideo Arkson who was just now promoted to the rank of Commander. Well done to you!
My next report will be on Friday and after that, it's off the Switzerland for me. I promise not to blow up the world with micr0-black holes or
anything like that.

Dempsey's Weekly Riddles
Every week, the report will have a riddle. First pilot to send the correct answer to the mailing list wins. Each victory earns you an IS-BR. Unless it's a 5th victory, you then get a IS-SR. Unless it's a 10th victory, which gives you an IS-GR. A 25th victory will give you an IS-PR!
This week's riddle: I am weightless, but you can see me. Put me in a bucket, and I'll make it lighter. What am I?
Last week's winner: CM Hawkins
Current standings: AD Woody: 6; LC Clark, CM Hawkins: 5; HA Bonini, GN Pickled Yoda, COL La'an, LC Tempest, CPT Fenn, CM Jast, LCM Doc, LCM Hav Antiel, LCM Archenksov: 1
Hammer on Recon
Submit your StarConflict screenshots to me. For Domination and Beacon Hunt, the highest number of captures wins. For PvE, Team Battle and Combat Recon, the highest number of "kills" wins, with assists counting for half a kill (rounded up). Submissions not earning a medal will earn an activity point. First place wins an IS-SW, 2nd a IS-BW (with 2 submissions or more, otherwise IS-BW for first). Submissions earn 4 pts for 1st, 3 pts for 2nd, 2 pts for 3rd and 1 pt for others. At the end of the month, the top 3 MP flyers will earn an IS-GW, IS-SW and IS-BW. 10 activity points wins an IS-BW and every 50th activity point will earn an IS-SW. Tie breakers: kills for Domination and Beacon Hunt, Captain Kill or pure kills for Team Battle and Combat Recon.

It's good to see so many pilots in the TIE Corps who are willing to do a little (or a lot) extra during a bigtime TC wide competition like RtF. Too bad most of them are on the same ship, but that won't stop me (and you hopefully) from having fun. It's been a long time since this many missions were flown by this many pilots. Kudos to all who participated!
