High Admiral Dempsey switched off the ship-wide comm system aboard the ISD-II Hammer. All personnel now knew the situation. All know what lay in the
balance. All knew they would be judged. The wargames have begun!
Well, this is weird. And new. Here I am, June 1st, with a complete Hammer COM report. And then here I am again, on Thursday, staring at this email asking me where the report is. It seems I completely forgot to send it. Ikes.
Raise the Flag is upon us, and not much else matters anymore TC wise. See the TCCOM's early email about RtF. I expect all Hammer pilots to do their utmost in this. Especially now that the first 7 days are almost done and we're already over 1000 points behind. Déja vu. We had the same problem last year. There is good news though: last year this was mostly due to GN Pickled Yoda's high scores. This year, that's not the case, and thus we can still win this.
All MSEs were received, thank you Commanders! The May evaluation has been shipped off to the SOO and TCCOM for review.
Lastly this week, it's time I said something about a slight problem which will arise when RtF is over and done. To be specific, my absence during virtually all of July. Oh dear. More on that later, but expect TAC and COM duties to be delegated to others. All COM competitions will continue.
Also good news: the COO has made a modification to the rules on awarding a Legion of Combat. Before, the criteria was a winning match and at least 1 kill. The latter despite this not being the objective of the match in games like Domination and Beacon Hunt. It has now been changed so that you can also get a win if you complete at least 1 objective, eg capture a beacon, or survive as captain in Combat Recon. I think this is good, as it will allow you to focus on the game objectives instead of getting a kill.
The GoG Games - TIE Fighter Battle 5 is now at an end, and we will play Battle 6: Arms race next month. Unfortunately, those missions won't be counting for RtF. These are the final results for May:

Dempsey's Weekly Riddles
Every week, the report will have a riddle. First pilot to send the correct answer to the mailing list wins. Each victory earns you an IS-BR. Unless it's a 5th victory, you then get a IS-SR. Unless it's a 10th victory, which gives you an IS-GR. A 25th victory will give you an IS-PR!
This week's riddle: 100 Sabacc cards are lying in a room. Some of them are face down while others are face up. However, it is so dark it is impossible for you to see if a card is face up or face down. You only know that exactly 10 of them are face up. Your task is to sort the cards into 2 piles, where each pile contains exactly half the cards that are face up. How do you do this?

Submit your StarConflict screenshots to me. For Domination and Beacon Hunt, the highest number of captures wins. For PvE, Team Battle and Combat Recon, the highest number of "kills" wins, with assists counting for half a kill (rounded up). Submissions not earning a medal will earn an activity point. First place wins an IS-SW, 2nd a IS-BW (with 2 submissions or more, otherwise IS-BW for first). Submissions earn 4 pts for 1st, 3 pts for 2nd, 2 pts for 3rd and 1 pt for others. At the end of the month, the top 3 MP flyers will earn an IS-GW, IS-SW and IS-BW. 10 activity points wins an IS-BW and every 50th activity point will earn an IS-SW. Tie breakers: kills for Domination and Beacon Hunt, Captain Kill or pure kills for Team Battle and Combat Recon.
