Commodore HA Dempsey reporting
Report ID: H.AD.013
Report date: May 3, 2015
High Admiral Dempsey stared at the roster of her ship, the Imperial-II class Star Destroyer Hammer. Once again, the numbers had increased. That was good.
Not so good were the rumours. Tidbits of information coming from the void. She stared out the viewport.into the distance. Was that where, not too long ago,
the Void Raptors had been defeated? Or perhaps it had only appeared they had been, and like a Phoenix, they had risen from the ashes the Hammer and her
battlegroup had left behind.
Well, another month has passed, so that means it's time for another round of medals. Squadron Evaluations are due next Friday, Commanders!
But let's start off with the big news. The Hammer's numbers have increased by another 3, as 3 reservists have decided to return to active duty. Welcome back to MAJ Landon Cruise and LCM Chrome, who are both joining Alpha, and to CPT Mauser who has joined Delta sqn! May you have a lot of fun!
on the not so good part of the coin, there are several considerations. First, the medals for The GoG Games for April have been recommended. And while I won the X-wing version, that's mostly by default as I was the only submission. With two consecutive rounds of only 2 or 1 submission, I have decided to scrap the rest of the competition. That also means the participation medals and the overall winner medals are scrapped. Grats to myself though for winning round 2!
The second is that after 3 good runs in the first 3 rounds, I apparantly screwed up in round 4, as I came in 4th place, not even good enough for a shiny. Oh dear,
Thirdly is my annual motivational dip. Those who pay attention might have noticed in the TCCOM's report, I didn't even submit anything for TIE Corps on patrol this week. Guess I'm taking the month off from flying, but rest assured, I will return in time for Raise the Flag 2015! This year, victory will be ours!
On to more good news: the newly revised TIE Corps Pilot Manual is out on the website. It needed to be updated here and there, and biggest of all is the addition of a new medal, the Legion of Skirmish (LoS). The medal is designed to reward PvE/Co-op play, since that cannot rewarded with the Legion of Combat. The LoS will have its own kill board, but it will count for the Combat Ratings just like the LoC. Also, the LoC has been removed from the FCHG rankings. It always bugged me that it counted for both the FCHG and the Combat ratings, while every other medal only counted for one of them. This means that both the FCHG rankings and th Combat ratings have been rescaled: the maximum FCHG rank goes down from 6,000 pts to 5,500, and the maximum Combat rating will go up from 1,000 pts to 5,000 pts to reflect the quicker gain in CR standings with the influx of Star Conflict matches. That in turn means all FCHG ranks and CR ranks will have to be recalculated, a process which will happen sometime this week. All other database adjustments have been made. If you run into any weird things, let me know!
Damn, I lost my Tan rank!
Lest I forget: the The GoG Games: TIE Fighter Battle 4: Conflict at Mylok IV results are out and the appropriate medals have been awarded. I'll not bore you with my score in the The GoG Games: X-wing Tour of Duty 2: The Great Search competition.

There's not much else to go on. All Squadron MSEs are due no later then this Friday, May the 8th, after which they will be processed by the
TCCS. I expect at least the same amount of merit medals we were able to award last month, hopefully more. It's always good when you're able to give out a decent number of
them. And with Raise the Flag around the corner, it's also good. That in mind, I urge all Hammer pilots to hone their skills in the
coming month so that they are ready. At the same time I call upon all Warrior pilots to exhaust themselves this month, so that next month they won't have any
strength left to compete with. It's our turn for victory!

Dempsey's Weekly Riddles
Every week, the report will have a riddle. First pilot to send the correct answer to the mailing list wins. Each victory earns you an IS-BR. Unless it's a 5th victory, you then get a IS-SR. Unless it's a 10th victory, which gives you an IS-GR. A 25th victory will give you an IS-PR!
This week's riddle: A bounty hunter has set his sights on a target: two Mandalorians. In a bar on Tatooine, both Mandalorians order Alderaanian ale 'on the rocks'. The first Mandalorian drinks 5 of them while the other only has one in the same time. Unfortunately for him, the other dies while the first one lives, even though all the drinks were poisoned. Explain.
Last week's winner: CM Hawkins
Current standings: AD Woody: 5; LC Clark, CM Hawkins: 2; HA Bonini, GN Pickled Yoda, COL La'an, LC Tempest, CPT Fenn, CM Jast, LCM Doc, LT Archenksov: 1
Hammer on Recon
Submit your StarConflict screenshots to me. For Domination and Beacon Hunt, the highest number of captures wins. For Team Battle and Combat Recon, the highest number of "kills" wins, with assists counting for half a kill (rounded up). Submissions not earning a medal will earn an activity point. First place wins an IS-SW, 2nd a IS-BW (with 2 submissions or more, otherwise IS-BW for first). Submissions earn 4 pts for 1st, 3 pts for 2nd, 2 pts for 3rd and 1 pt for others. At the end of the month, the top 3 MP flyers will earn an IS-GW, IS-SW and IS-BW. 10 activity points wins an IS-BW and every 50th activity point will earn an IS-SW. Tie breakers: kills for Domination and Beacon Hunt, Captain Kill or pure kills for Team Battle and Combat Recon.

Well, another month has past, and things are going well. Yay for us. My main goal for the year, 150 IS-*W medals, is still on schedule, with 122 out of 150 earned (81%). I still need to spend some credits at gog.com as they have released several new games. Still having fun. I hope you are too!
