SQUADRON NEWS

Welcome to this week’s Squadron Report! Big news of the last week is the stepping down of TIE Corps Commander HA Daniel Bonini, who also received the Medal of Honor for his services to the Fleet. His tenure and farewell was truly memorable. Stepping into his steps is none other than our former Gamma-time Squadron Commander, newly promoted AD Elwood the Brave, who stepped one forward from his SOO position, and picking VA Pellaeon as his successor.

Our former CMDR, CM Drake Starfire has been transferred to Delta Flight 3 Leader position. Good hunting over there, Drake!

The Commodore has announced the COM Protector competition, which is a high-score hunting one, adding one point per mission high score earned. Bonus points are offered for knocking down a Hammer pilot from his/her HS (+1), with an extra point if the HS holder is HA Anahorn Dempsey (+2). Currently GN Pickled Yoda has scored 18 points (6 HS), with your bloodthirsty CMDR following him with 7 points (5 HS). Join the chase and grab those highscores!

March Medal of Communications were awarded, with no less than 4 recipients in our squadron! Congratulations, everyone, our squad is really in the middle of the events from time to time!

Warrior Trivia continued with Week 10, this time with 4 participants from our Squadron.

The TIE Corps on Patrol comp continues, missions for Week 10 have been announced. Don’t forget that the GoG TIE Fighter (Battle 4: Conflict at Mylok IV) and X-Wing (TOD 2: The Great Search) competitions are on. The Tactical Office awaits your scores in these until the end of April. TIE Fighter Battle 3 results have been announced, with 2 submissions from our squadron (Sparky and myself).

Multiplayer activity is once again rising in the Fleet! I was happy to receive word of many LoCs received by CPT Ulrich Drachen and a couple from CM Hawkins, and the mailgroup is buzzing of multiplayer topic. Follow the TIE Corps mailgroup and the Combat Center for multiplayer event schedules.

I was also happy to see a handful of IWATS courses completed, which will surely lead to sophisticated maneuvering, won’t they?

The Kappa Race to 40 competition is running, too! Your flying activity will be rewarded not only by FCHG earnings, but reach 16 points for an IS-BW, and be the first to reach 40 points to win the competition and earn an IS-SW until the end of April. My free missions and high scores give a nifty advantage after last week, but the title is still in reach for others! To your fighters!

The Black Panther returned to her apex predator self, hunting down prey after prey in 11 missions.

My previous Kappa Squadron Reports have been updated with the Report Graphic thanks to a little technical assistance from CPT Ulrich Drachen.

I also made a quick scan of your personal files on Encyclopedia Imperia (our wiki), and some of you have outdated pages. If you have time, post me your update requests, or you might do the update personally if you have logins for the page.

OPEN COMPETITIONS

Recommended competitions: Kappa Race to 40 is running. Fly SP and MP matches, and be the quickest to earn 40 FCHG points. Winner takes home an IS-SW, all others to reach at least 16 points will earn an IS-BW! Iron Stars will not be calculated.

AD Woody is organizing his trademark TIE Corps on Patrol competitions! Have a break, fly a free mission! Week 10 has been announced: TIE-free 260, XvT-free 204, BoP-free 16 and XWA-free 132 are this week’s subjects. BoP missions will not continue from next week. Don’t forget to forward the Tactical Office confirmation mail to the TCCOM!

Sin CMDR LC Plif continues Warrior Trivia Season 2 with Week 11!

Also, the Tactical Office is running the GoG competitions. In April, TIE Fighter is about Battle 4: Conflict at Mylok IV, while for X-Wing, TOD 2: The Great Search, is running until the end of month.
