SQUADRON NEWS

Welcome to this week’s Squadron Report! Easter is over. The Warrior maintenance crew is filing continuous complaints about overweight pilots returning from the festivities with full stomach and hopefully full of energy. However, this couldn’t overshadow Warrior Day, when we celebrated the first anniversary of our mighty Flagship, Home of the Kappa Squadron. Commodore HA Frodo March, and in his shadow, his administrative sidekick COL Gilbert H. (howtosmile?) Frown turned this day into promotion day, with COL Impulse and your Kappa Kommander getting promoted, together with Theta CMDR GN Jarek La’an. Congratulations!

The inaugurated title Warrior of the Year was given to Sin CMDR LC Plif. Couldn’t be more deserved, his contributions are truly inspirational. Congratulations!

Also, I would like to congratulate for CM Hawkins for earning a Commendation of Loyalty! I did get one, too, so next week is on me for Kappa Pilots in the cantina. Pazaak games are also running with CM Hawkins at the Kappa Korner. Ask TIE Goat – recognizable from his outlandish celebration hat and steely smell – or read the mail channels for more information.

Warrior Trivia continued with Week 8, this time with 4 participants from our Squadron! Nice showing, now I’m challenging Dante, Impulse, and Tempest to join the crew and show their immense precision in the vastness of knowledge.

The TIE Corps on Patrol comp continues, missions for Week 8 have been announced. Don’t forget that the GoG TIE Fighter (Battle 4: Conflict at Mylok IV) and X-Wing (TOD 2: The Great Search) competitions are on. The Tactical Office awaits your scores in these until the end of April.

The Kappa Race to 40 competition is running, too! Your flying activity will be rewarded not only by FCHG earnings, but reach 16 points for an IS-BW, and be the first to reach 40 points to win the competition and earn an IS-SW! Due to low flying activity, I will lengthen the competition until the end of April. To your fighters!

Our CM Hawkins is spending a lot of energy in creating battles, he released a test version for his Imperial remake of X-Wing TOD 1, and another test mission. Lend a hand and test some of his missions to support his work! Follow the Kappa Squadron mailgroup.

Kappa Squadron citations’ number stands at 10.

TIE Corps membership is tallying 73 loyal pilots including top brass. (+1 since last report)

COMMANDER’S ROOM

The Black Panther went on to a fourth-place finish in TCoP TIE Fighter. Also, the simulator room was used to refly the historical battle on the frontier inaugurating platform NL-1.

CM Hawkins had his contact mail address changed. Be sure to review your address books.

CM Drake Starfire signalled his intent to transfer to Delta Squadron. I hope we can welcome you to a farewell party in the cantina!

OPEN COMPETITIONS
Recommended competitions: Kappa Race to 40 is running. Fly SP and MP matches, and be the quickest to earn 40 FCHG points. Winner takes home an IS-SW, all others to reach at least 16 points will earn an IS-BW! Iron Stars will not be calculated.

SOO VA Woody is organizing his trademark TIE Corps on Patrol competitions! Have a break, fly a free mission! Week 8 has been announced: TIE-free 265 (a Kappa Squadron mission!), XvT-free 211, BoP-free 21 and XWA-free 134 are this week’s subjects. Don’t forget to forward the Tactical Office confirmation mail to the SOO!

Sin CMDR LC Plif continues Warrior Trivia Season 2 with Week 9!

Also, the Tactical Office is running the GoG competitions. In April, TIE Fighter is about Battle 4: Conflict at Mylok IV, while for X-Wing, TOD 2: The Great Search, is running until the end of month.
