Commodore HA Dempsey reporting
Report ID: H.AD.008
Report date: March 29, 2015
As the might Imperial-II class Star Destroyer Hammer softly made its way through the darkness of space, the Commodore of the ship closed the lid on a bag.
I suppose they can go a few days without me, she thought. Well, they'd better.
Hi folks, and welcome to yet another report from your Commodore's desk...
First off, I happened to notice the email system went berserk this week. I missed out on a lot of emails, so stuff in this report may or may not be complete. I suggest everyone find themselves an ewok, and blame them for this, with all due punishments you see fit!
Good news and bad news as always filled my inbox this week. The bad news is COL Almasy decided he couldn't maintain his position as Beta Commander, and he has been reassigned to a Flight Member spot in Beta. The good news is it didn't take long to find a replacement, and I welcome COL Golbez Harvey to the position of Commander!
The March Mayhem competition is almost done - you have until the 31st to send in your week 4 submissions and your fiction. The same applies to the GoG Games - TIE Fighter - you have until the 31st to send in your Battle 3 pilotfile.
More good news - the TC has another pilot who has achieved the rank of Tan in the Combat Ratings. I'm not gonna tell you who that is, but with this achievement I am now the only pilot in the Fleet to have reached the highest ranks in both the Combat ratings and the Fleet Commander's Honor Guard. Yay me.
More news: the newly revised TIE Corps Pilot Manual should be out pretty soon. I've seen it, and there;'s some nice changes in it. I'll not spoil the surprise though, and leave that to the TCCOM :)
Second-to-last bit: I'll be on leave starting this Thursday the 2nd, until Saturday the 4th. As such, any stuff you desire to see processed in that time should go to the SOO, but as he, too, will be away, you might consider a] holding on to it for a few days, or b] send it to the TCCOM. Any suibmissions for HoR still go to me, any submissions for TCoP should still be sent to the SOO. I do believe there's not much else that cannot wait. But I have been wrong before, so who knows.
Last bit: the end of the month is nigh, and so it is once again time to compile your monthly squadron evaluations, commanders! I should like to find them on my desk when I return. Let's see how many of the Hammer's pilots have earned themselves a medal!
Really-the-last-bit: This report will close March, and as such the Hammer on Recon standings are now final. The SP and MP aces will run through to the end of the month. Grats to COL Pellaeon for winning the monthly ladder!
If you wish to take on any of the following positions, send an application to the Squadron Commander (if applicable) and Commodore:

Dempsey's Weekly Riddles
Every week, the report will have a riddle. First pilot to send the correct answer to the mailing list wins. Each victory earns you an IS-BR. Unless it's a 5th victory, you then get a IS-SR. Unless it's a 10th victory, which gives you an IS-GR. A 25th victory will give you an IS-PR!
This week's riddle: You have been given the job to transport 3,000 droids from Aurora to the Karana system. 1,000 lightyears away. The only problem is: for each lightyear you travel from Aurora to Karana, you must pay taxes: 1 droid to be exact. Your Escort Carrier assigned for the job can carry a maximum of 1,000 droids. Fortunately, you do not have to pay any tax when returning to Aurora. What is the maximum number of droids you can transport to Karana?
Last week's winner: VA Elwood the Brave
Current standings: VA Woody: 5; LC Clark: 2; HA Bonini, COL La'an, CPT Fenn, CM Jast, LCM Doc: 1
Hammer on Recon
Submit your StarConflict screenshots to me. For Domination and Beacon Hunt, the highest number of captures wins. For Team Battle and Combat recon, the highest number of "kills" wins, with assists counting for half a kill (rounded up). Submissions not earning a medal will earn an activity point. First place wins an IS-SW, 2nd a IS-BW (with 2 submissions or more, otherwise IS-BW for first). Submissions earn 4 pts for 1st, 3 pts for 2nd, 2 pts for 3rd and 1 pt for others. At the end of the month, the top 3 MP flyers will earn an IS-GW, IS-SW and IS-BW. 10 activity points wins an IS-BW and every 50th activity point will earn an IS-SW. Tie breakers: kills for Domination and Beacon Hunt, Captain Kill or pure kills for Team battle and Combat Recon.

Week 4: Captions
Below is a semi-funny Star wars picture. Well, it becomes funny when you add your own caption. One entry per person, funniest one wins. Please make sure the one you come up with isn't readily
available on Google...
Monthly: fiction
The ISD-II Hammer is preparing to engage a convoy of freighters protected by two well armed Nebulon-B2 class frigates. The objective is to seize the freighter's valuable cargo. All the Hammer's pilots are in
their cockpits, and the squadrons are ready to launch when the command is given. Stormtroopers and pilots have boarded their transports, and on the bridge of the Star Destroyer, the Commodore sits in the Command
Chair. One more minute and the attack begins.
Write a fiction that details your role in the battle. You can write it from your character's perspective, but you don't have to, you can pick another character as well (but not someone else in the TC). Fiction
should be at least 750 words and submitted in Word or pdf format no later than March 31st! Fictions will be graded based on grammar and spelling (10% - have someone proofread your submission if possible),
entertainment and creativity (50%), realism (25% - Star Wars realism...) and continuity (15%).
Well, time to look back on the past month, even though technically speaking it's not entirely done yet. A few things may change, some will not, I will end the month ona new high of 1,000+ CR points, and (assuming the last few LoCs will be processed) break the 300 barrier for LoCs earned this month. I gotta stiop spending so much time behind my computer.... Or not, since I have some other stuff to do as well :)
Goals list for the year:
It seems I may need to set myself some additional goals this year, which I did. It may seem trivial, but there is one recurring TC wide competition that I have never won, and that's the MP Ace. We'll see what happens.
