Really enjoyable series of missions, with some excellent and interesting plots - mission 5 was weird, but again enjoyable - there is something very satisfying one shotting an A-Wing! Well worth a play through!

Well crafted and fun set of missions, I really enjoyed this one.

It's a pretty terrific battle, with a neat plot, full of large scale battles done well in TIE Fighter. I enjoyed the tactics around the unshielded craft, which does make things easier but also keeps things fun, in a way they wouldn't if you didn't have that limitation (which the player themselves is subjected to in Mission #5). It probably would have been better if the enemy had less waves and were more focused, but it was such fun I'm resistant to criticize. Plus it has a cameo from yours truly in it... along with a whole lot of other folks worth remembering

CPT Talas, as usual delivers another golden classic. You can not miss any of the Talas' creations. This one has an excellent and very original plotline. The missions are superbly crafted and very challenging, yet far from impossible in the hardest level. The player will have to succeed in a variety of roles, and the MIS are squeezed to the very best of how capable the Überbomber was. Even flying in a shieldless T/A will be something to remember. Do not miss one, or you'll be sorry you didn't fly it.

Very well put together briefings, good plotline and execution. One point less than perfect because of annoyingly large waves of enemies, some missions becoming a grind...

I played on Easy. Most of these missions were ridiculously easy. You fight against shieldless capital ships and most of the battles can be solved by focus-firing these ships and ignoring everything else. That said, the missions were varied and the story was decent.

A fun battle with a well-thought-out plot line, plenty of dogfighting while watching objectives, and a variety of craft to fly. While the humor in the briefings may not be the most realistic, it had character. I thought it was well-balanced and engaging, although if going for maximum scores, it can get a little tedious fighting waves and waves of fighters after the objectives are complete.

I have to agree with the other reviews - a solid 4.5, so I suppose it's my turn to bump it up.

Overall, the missions, even on hard are quite easy. They also happen to be very enjoyable. The right starfighter for the right mission.
Pure Missile Boat fun. Mission 3 in particular was Missile Boat at its best. The storyline is great and the briefing is solid. I
liked the variation of the missions and the continuity of the intangibles. For example, each squad is 12 craft.
This battle changes character once you start aiming for a high score. It becomes a lot more frantic and urgency is required.
Be mindful of fighters carrying advanced concussion missiles on mission 1. In the last mission, if you are wondering how to capture
the container, simply attack it and a transport will appear to capture it. It is a well crafted battle and deserving of a 5.

I enjoyed this battle. The storyline was entertaining and progressed well by building mystery to a conclusion. The briefings and craft names had some humorous puns hidden in them. I liked the varied objectives and different player fighter craft even though most missions ended with killing many waves of enemy fighters, which made missions last a long time. I thought the overall difficulty was too easy. I played on hard and died only a few times, usually only to a enemy missile or a collision when flying unshielded craft. I had no problems completing all the bonus objectives.

I really liked this battle! It was super fun. The plot line of a worm hole opening near where a Star Destroyer is operating, especially considering the fact that the Rebels were using it to attack us. It was also nice to fly with some friendly neutrals for once instead of having them hate us. We aren’t all bad, you know? Other than some misspellings (does anyone proofread these?) and making me fly a Missile Boat in 2 missions I feel like this is one of the better battles in the compendium. It is really well done. The mission briefings were engaging and funny, the instructions were clear (it is sad how rare that is) and I really liked the attempt by the battle creator to make what was going on “believable.” Also, extra points for the funny flight group names – I especially appreciated the USMC reference in the final mission.

I definitely liked this battle. It was very well thought out and I liked the originality of it, especially the fight in the wormhole. I agree with the 4.5 given earlier, so I'm giving a score that'll add together to one. If you've got some free, time, I'd recommend this battle.

Great battle, I like the way talas uses the aliens the "Nami" in most his battles adds a kinda trademark, it has a good plotline too, overall a 4.5

The flight name of mission 5's A-wings is inappropriate.

RA Genie

I think it's mission 3, whereby a TUG is meant to board your ISD. It does board it and returns home successfully, yet the bonus goal is not recognized. Its command was board and contact, which may be what is causing the problem.

About the mission: This battle started off as a joke battle but became more serious as work on
it progressed. Most of you have heard the expression "Up s*** cheek without a paddle" meaning
"in deep trouble." I had turned the offending phrase into "Chitreek" after saying it a few times.
I then had to make a Chitreek something a ship could "go up" and that is how the wormhole idea
came along.
This is my second 'Nami" Battle and having flown the first TIE FCHG #4 will help some
people better understand some of the background. I have a whole society and culture worked out
for the Nami but I doubt I'll ever be able to fully explain it all. Major Rador Shakmu and the
Akrhean Guard might make future appearances... as will the "Pagan Bastards" as MAJ Shakmu so
kindly terms them. LCM Talas MAR 14 2002.

Design Notes: In Mission Five your inflight commands are not supposed to work but they do. It
also becomes important sometimes to order your wingmen to attack a target. In this case the
pilot is contacting his wingmen telepathicaly through the 'force' :)

Late Alpha Changes (FYI): MAR 13-14th
Title change: From "Up Chitreek"
This is why mission files are UCR*.TIE
Mission 2: "T/D Boogle" renamed "T/D Akrhean" as in Mission 3.
Mission 3: Global Primary goal changed from 75% of Rebel craft to 75% of B-wings. This makes the
mission more difficult and less of a cake walk.

Final Alpha Changes: Early Sept.
Preclude to Andevia References taken out.
Mission Six touched up. I still think it's anticlimatic but oh well.
