Hands down the worst battle in the whole compendium. 12 missions that are actually just the same 3 missions played 4 different times. If you want to kill a VSD and an ISD in a T/I with no warheads and limited help from your AI wingmates, repeatedly, then this battle is for you!

I flew this as part of Raise the Flag competition 2021. Overall, the battle seemed straightforward with no major hang-ups. There is not much to say about it. It was fun but the battle did not contain any elements that makes it stand out from nearly every other battle you have ever flown.

I like the concept, but the execution was flawed. This was based on a Multiplayer competition yeeeeeears ago, and unfortunately has not aged well. The only feasible way to complete this mission without going insane, sadly, is to throw on Unlimited Waves and focus on the Capital Ships, as the AI won't do it by themselves and if you let them, you'll be doing this forever.

An interesting concept of a battle. However, the missions are repetitive. If you're a high score seeker, then you may enjoy the endless waves of dogfighting and cap ship hunting. But otherwise, there's no reason to really do this one.

I give this 0 stars because it reminds me too much of Fleet Battles (puke). I don't know how I slogged through this. Its also confusing because the zip file has additional missions but everyone only does the first 12. Not sure how all that works, but whatever. Going to go take a shower now.

Flew this for the RTF 2021. There is literally no plotline here – it is a custom built battle for the needs of a competition long gone. Just kamikaze rammed through it with heavy rockets on unlimited waves.

I can see the beauty of this one - the designer tried to create a battle which pitted all the ASF ships against each other and when played as a MP battle it would be a stellar event. When played as a SP battle though it is prone to being repetitive but still entertaining.

I get what he was trying to do, though I see some flaws and I am not exactly familiar with the motivation behind some very big differences between teams. This is meant to be CO-OP vs battle. A bit mundane as a solo battle. It's a special battle for the 'supremacy' scenario and it should be judged based on that.

This is actually the same mission repeated over and over in three different batches. Although it is supposed to reproduce the events of a major competition in the past, it fails to deliver the realism or a positive gaming experience, once flown the first 3 missions of the different events, the rest are just that, cloned missions for fodder and to allow the player to partake in any of the 3 parties originally involved in the feud. Tedious. Good only for FCHG points

Dogfighting good at beginning, but after the first 5 missions you soon find self too start looking for easiest way to complete the following missions. Mission are technically well put together, just that flying 4 missions the same back to back, can get rather tiresome very quickly.

I really quite liked this battle, its not difficult but as Ender said you do have to play through each of the missions twice which can get a bit repeatative. Not much in the way of exciting plot developments (the battle is more like a good collection of FREE's) but nicely executed none-the-less.

I really enjoyed the dogfights in this Battle and it was nice to see some well known faces again :)

NOTE: This is a 6 mission 4vs4 Combat Battle split into a 12 mission 4 player Co-Op Battle because of TAC submission regulations. Because of this as a SP pilot you'll see each engagement twice and this might get a tad tedious. For MP combat however you have the chance to fly any ASF unit vs any other ASF unit on an equal balance. As such it can be used instead of your regular, far more boring, melee in combat comps - which is what it was made for.

EH SHIP IS HARMED OR DAMAGED IN THE FLYING OF THIS SIMULATOR BATTLE.

Description
-----------
This Simulator Battle is composed of 4 subbattles, 1 of 3 missions for each ASF Unit, based
upon the the Aggressor Strike Force Supremacy Competition. If you ever wondered how these
forces would fare in combat against eachother - this is your chance to find out.

"The Aggressor Strike Force Supremacy Competition started approx. 2.5 - 3 years ago under then Ad
Priyum. Its goal was to create an atmosphere for the ASF where every single piece of activity was
graded or scored, and each and every pilot had an opportunity to gain medals for this activity. It
sought to find which squadron was the best in the ASF.

Over the course of three years, the ASF has seen three different BGCOM's, AD Priyum (now FA
Priyum FO), VA Vitcarp, and myself. Each BGCOM ran a SC and put it through different paces.
These paces are what it has evolved to today. I have personally run two of the Four SC's. ASF SC
IV begining April 1 and ending May 31st. Two months. The first three SC's were one month in
length.

Of the activities graded: missions flown, victorious battles flown, medals earned, Iwats
courses completed, Recruitment, kills, simulator kills vs other ASF Forces, to name a few are scored.
I have also included WoW standings (1st,2nd,3rd asf pilots in the WoWs)

Also something that I've included in the ASF SC is the ASF Flag Ship, currently held by the ISD
GreyWolf, ASF Escort Squadron currently held by ODIN squadron WING XIII, and ASF Ace
currently held by COL Bruckmack now a member of Avenger Squadron.

I have also granted Avenger Squadron the chance to fight for the VSD Aggressor, which gives that
ship the chance to be the ASF Flag ship. This being a first since the VSD Aggressor, that houses
the COO and Avenger Squadron, lost its Flagship title to the Grey Wolf." (sic)
- AD Cyric, ASF BattleGroup Commander

Story Line
----------
Battle 1: Wing XIII/ISDII Grey Wolf
-----------------------------------
1. The Supremacy competitions were started by BGCOM/AD Priyum in an effort to get some
friendly competition going between the ASF Ships and Squadrons. Pilots would be awarded
points for simulator-kills. At the end of the competition, pilots would be awarded medals
dependant on the number of points they had gained. Additionally, the winning Ship and
winning Squadron would be afforded the title of ASF Flag Ship & ASF Escort Squadron
respectively.
Each competition is slightly different from the last - mistakes are corrected and
improvements to the rules are implemented. This is the Fourth edition of the ASF:SC, and
the second one organized by the current BGCOM/AD Cyric.
In this first simulator run the ISDII Vanguard, home of Wing XV, has challenged the
current Flagship, the ISDII Grey Wolf, home of Wing XIII, in the Mi'Suh Zone "Room" 30.
Both ships have their full Wings and a VSD at their disposal - killing the capital ships
will decide the Team winner. Good Luck to all Flight Groups!

2. Deep in the Minos Cluster two TIE Corps Deuces meet secretly to decide who's best at
what they do once and for all. The ISDII Intrepid has challenged the current Flagship, the
ISDII Grey Wolf, over its title and outside TIE Corps regulations both ships arranged a
duel near the place where they used to face Rebels together in the Outer Rim Conflicts.
Both Deuces have launched their wings and are set to kill!
This is the last simulator run between two ISDIIs and is deciding in which Wing will come
on top in the ASF:SCIV. The Grey Wolf is the current Flagship and the sure winner of three
SC's running, but the Intrepid has already earned more points this time around - the title
of ASF Flagship might very well change hands pretty soon. Both Wings have their minds set
to winning this and it'll get pretty tense till the end. Good Luck!

3. A slight administrative problem at the TIE Corps Flight Office has created an awkward
creation: The ISDII Grey Wolf and the VSDII Aggressor have both, sperately, been sent to
the same Pirate Base to destroy it. Old hostilities between the two ASF ships flared up
in no time and now the two TIE Corps forces are at eachother's throats looked on by
flabberghasted Pirates.
This simulator run between the former ASF Flagship, the VSDII Aggressor, and the current
one, the ISDII Grey Wolf might very well be the deciding one in the ASF:SCIV. Avenger
Squadron is set to regain the Flagship designation for their ship, while the Grey Wolf
is not planning to just hand it over.
This engagement between the two "mortal enemies" is all but decided - even though
Wing XV outnumbers Avenger 6 to 1. Avenger is ahead in points already!

Battle 2: Wing XIV/ISDII Intrepid
---------------------------------
4. The ISDII Intrepid has arrived at the Pyrath Naval Base, the regular operations base
for the ISDII Vanguard. The Intrepid, with Wing XIV aboard, challenges the Vanguard and
its Wing XV its right to use the Base for supplies and recreation. The Vanguard is not
impressed by the threats of the Intrepid COM, the big purple furry VA Brakka, to eat all
the Vanguard LTs and will fight the Intrepid for the Base...
This simulator run would've been to decide who comes in second in the earlier versions
of the ASF:SC... In which the Intrepid came in last on two occasions and the Vanguard
once. But this SC things have changed: the Intrepid definitely has become a force to be
reconned with and the Vanguard has been low on points again. Who'll win is solely up to
the pilots of the wings - so good luck to all and keep all the freighters AND the Base
out of this if you please.

The Greywolf has won this competition the past three times, and no other ship has come
close to its Activity, but this time it will change. The ISDII Intrepid has seen great
changes over this year and the Commodore, VA Brakka, strongly feels that we will give the
Greywolf a run for thier money.
Your ship needs you !!

6. The Genko System is a "neutral" system on the border of the EH Territories with the
New Republic which currently is alligned towards the EH - but that might change at the
blink of an eye again might the Dons of Genko decide that there's more profit in the NR.
For the time being EH vessels are allowed to resupply at the Genko Platform Brook - the
location of many a battle between NR and EH.
In this simulator run the Intrepid has been forced to move on from the Pyrath NavalBase
and get its resupplying done somewhere else. Nearest resupply point from Pyrath is Genko
so they coursed towards Genko - where they met up with the VSDII Aggressor and Avenger
Squadron, who promptly challenged the Intrepid's right to be there.
For Genkoans this kind of behaviour is completely normal - so they won't mind too much.

Battle 3: Wing XV/ISDII Vanguard
--------------------------------
7. The Mi'Suh Zone is a region of space not far from the EH Territories of about 75
planets that have always been heavily disputed - even during the Old Republic and Empire.
Strangely only after the collapse of these a solution was found to the continuous warring
that ravaged the Zone - After the populations revolted against their numerous warlords. At
the "Balanced Squadrons Convention" a truce was made between all the various parties that
restricted the hostilities - after which it became a popular training ground for various
parties.
In this first simulator run the ISDII Vanguard, home of Wing XV, has challenged the current
Flagship, the ISDII Grey Wolf, home of Wing XIII, in the Mi'Suh Zone "Room" 30. Both ships
have their full Wings and a VSD at their disposal - killing the capital ships will decide
the Team winner. Good Luck to all Flight Groups!

This simulator run would've been to decide who comes in second in the earlier versions of
the ASF:SC... In which the Intrepid came in last on two occasions and the Vanguard once.
Score for the VAN is around 2700 right now. And the Mutt is over 2900, with Avenger over
3000. There's no accurate count on the INT but the WC thinks we're in the lead. We've
done really well so far in this competition, but we can do better!
Who'll win is solely up to the pilots of the wings - so good luck to all and keep all the
freighters AND the Base out of this if you please.

9. The Emperor's Hammer Combat Operations Center (or EHCOC) is an area of space near
Aurora that has been designated for different types of training and practice of the EH
forces. This is where the TC pilots hone their dogfighting skills and where any form of
non-simulator exersize is held. Of course no live ammo is used but large holo projectors
will make it look very realistic indeed.
This time Avenger has challenged Wing XV here in the hope to show that their elite skills
match that of an entire TC Wing...
"Alright Gents, you know the drill. Avenger is out there to clear our clocks, but we are
the Vanguard." Ekim said, his voice booming through the briefing room. "That means, we
clean them out or you all are going to end up doing 12 hour shifts for the next week.
You all better protect the Shield, the VAN can take care of itself. Pilots, this is it,
time to show them Elite just means popular not talented. Vanguard, First into Battle,
First to VICTORY!" Ekim boomed as he shouted, pilots joined him.

Battle 4: Avenger/VSDII Aggressor
---------------------------------
10. The Emperor's Hammer Combat Operations Center (or EHCOC) is an area of space near
Aurora that has been designated for different types of training and practice of the EH
forces. This is where the TC pilots hone their dogfighting skills, where ISD gunners
practice to set the surface of planets ablaze and where any form of non-simulator exersize
is held.
The VSDII Aggressor hung silently in the shadow of Aurora Prime as it awaited its prey,
the ISDII Vanguard. Major Sarin ran his hand over the controls of his craft, a smug
grin rolling across his face. Today his old friend and long time rival Major Ekim and
the ISDII Vanguard would be jumping into the EHCOC portion of space. The Aggressor was
under orders to wait for the Vanguard to Jump into EHCOC space. Upon arrival of the
Vanguard the Aggressor would launch 12 Hand Picked Elite Avenger Pilots flying highly
modified craft.

11. The ISDII Intrepid has spent the majority of its career in the very large shadow of
the ISDII Grey Wolf and the other ships of the ASF. But now the Intrepid led by the
Famed Diamond Back "Death Riders" have made an attemp to reign the Glory of ASF
Flagship in for themselves.
The VSDII Aggressor and Avenger Squadron have decided that if anyone is going to be the
Flagship of the ASF, then it would be the "Real" Elites. Standing in a circle in the
aft Docking bay of the Aggressor Major Sarin and Colonel Brucmack Briefed the Avengers
on their upcoming mission. The Intrepid wanted to stop at the "Neutral" Genko system
and would be resupplying for 24 Hours. The Aggressor and All 12 Avengers would challenge
them at the system and attack without mercy.

12. A slight administrative problem at the TIE Corps Flight Office has created an awkward
creation: The ISDII Grey Wolf and the VSDII Aggressor have both, sperately, been sent to
the same Pirate Base to destroy it. Old hostilities between the two ASF ships flared up in
no time and now the two TIE Corps forces are at eachother's throats looked on by
flabberghasted Pirates.
This engagement between the two "mortal enemies" is all but decided - even though Wing XIII
outnumbers Avenger 6 to 1. Avenger is ahead in points already!

NOTES
-------------------
COMBAT NOTE: For this mission to work in MP, all players must have it installed on the same mission
numbers, in this case "121" to "127". Preferably do not change these numbers.
FCHG NOTE: TAC won't let you fly Combat Missions or XWA Skirmishes for FCHG Points, use the Single
player mission for all TC flying outside of combat competitions.
GENERAL: You need XvT (or at least all the ships involved there), as far as i know no other patches are
needed. To fly in Combat all players need the same version, make sure you all have the update by
lucasarts installed.
SINGLE PLAYER: This battle was made as a Combat Mission, its goal is to be fair to both sides so it
can be played instead of a regular melee.
MULTI PLAYER: For multiplayer this battle supports 4vs4. Randomize on (not allowed in
SP) will give you all the same variations in craft, like the navbuoys in melees.
