Overall, this was a pretty decent set of missions.
Overall, pretty good. M3 was rather obnoxious, but no real complaints otherwise.
I think it has some ups and downs. It's pretty good on a whole, but is a little inconsistent on design, polish, and difficulty. I think the structure of Mission #3 is an interesting idea, but then you have a kill-kill-kill for Mission #4 that's designed in a way to make it rather annoying on harder difficulty levels (fighters with missiles raining on you while all you have to destroy are the fighters without missiles). Use of invincible cruiser is too abused for my tastes. But there's certainly far worse things you can fly in the compendium!
I am still very new to TIE fighter but while the story was okay the game play just did not do it for me
There are many bugs and issues with this battle including ships hypering into other ships, stations with starfighter orders, overlapping secondary and bonus goals (having to capture a craft then destroy it), too many invincible capital ships and multiple of the same ship/labelled flightgroup existing at the game time.
I'm sorry, but I do not agree this is worthy of the scores you guys have given it.
Its truly hard for me to judge this battle independently as it does truly belong in a series with battle 77. Still, I should try to judge it on its own merits and this one just isn’t quite as good. Its still well written like its predecessor and has some fun missions for sure, but those difficulty hops were a bit hard to swallow. On the plus side, its bonus goals are either non-existent or easier to figure out, which is an improvement over the first battle in this series. Those last two missions are what keep me from giving this one a 5 however. If mission 4 wasn’t so easy then so hard all at the same time due to those new fighters with Adv. Concussion missiles and if the last mission wasn’t so easy that I could finish it in 5 minutes this battle would have walked away with a 5. Still, I recommend this battle wholeheartedly especially if you have already played battle 77. You owe yourself the pleasure of finishing off the series that was so well written. I give it a 4.40 (Rounded down to a 4 for purposes of the EH review scale)
This is a well constructed battle that I recommend everyone to fly. It has lots of nice dogfighting...very nice.
I thought that this was a very fun battle (I only played it because it's required in the SSSD Sovereign's CR 12) and I liked the witty comments from the briefing officer. But, however, it wasn't much of an encounter with the Verpine race. I blew up more Rebel scum than aliens.
It was a very good continuation of the Verpin battle. I enjoyed this double battle.

Mission 1: If platform Warbashi is not immediately destroyed when attacking it then R-41 group Davis and Z-95 headhunter group Edward will crash into it upon exiting hyperspace.
If platform Monsini is not immediately destroyed when attacking it Z-95 headhunter group Frank will crash into it upon exiting hyperspace.
Asteroid group Astroids is misspelled in the map interface.
Upon entering the combat area at the beginning of the mission the game informs you that all bonus goals have been completed despite the fact that there are no bonus goals in the mission.
Platform Type 4 Warbashi has orders to circle despite the fact it is a platform and cannot follow any waypoints. Platform Type 4 Monsini has starfighter orders.
The arrival condition for R-41 group Davis is that 100% of platform Monsini must be attacked, meaning that if ATR Ponge attacks it before the player has the chance to fire a salvo of rockets large enough at it to destroy it and the Ponge lands a single hit on it, then R-41 group Davis will arrive and crash into the platform.
ATR Ponge has been given advanced concussion missiles and orders to attack a platform. Due to the fact that it is attacking a platform with starfighter orders it is often unable to land a single hit on the platform before being destroyed.
Mission 2: Upon entering the combat area at the beginning of the mission the game informs you that all bonus goals have been completed despite the fact that there are no bonus goals in the mission.
ISD Avenger is incorrectly referred to as SSD Avenger in the inflight messages.
Arrival condition for CRL Hierarch and Carrack cruiser Larkyon cannot be met as their arrival conditions require that they are 100% destroyed.
B-Wing group Vulture and Y-Wing group Condor have orders to attack Carrack Cruiser Larkyon despite the fact it will never arrive. B-Wing group Vulture will attack Imperial craft when all Verpine craft and B-Wing gold have been destroyed.
Reinforcing group Tie Defender Sigma has no orders and will hold steady.
Cargo Ferry group Masonite, Modular Conveyor group Remedize, Container Transport group Klackate & Freighter group Sould all have circle orders but there are no loops assigned to them. Modified corvette Midnight has been given 99 loops.
Mission 3: Z-95 Headhunter group Black, Z-95 Headhunter group Blue (hard difficulty only) & X-Wing group Blue often will attack and destroy X-Wing group Eagle and Condor despite not having any orders to do so.
X-Wing Blue, Y-Wing Red, B-Wing Red & Z-95 Blue depart via hyperspace instead of returning to the Hierarch hangar from whence they came.
Overlapping flight groups with the same identifying color (Z-95 Blue & X-Wing Blue, Y-Wing Red & B-Wing Red)
Mission 4: Gunboat group Epsilon has been given orders to Escort the cruiser Lacodi.
All Imperial starfighters have orders to attack IFF Rebel, meaning they will attack the invincible cruiser Lacodi. This is an issue as the cruiser has twin missile launchers and will decimate your starfighter complement.
Overlapping flight groups with the same identifying color (X-Wing & A-Wing Red, B-Wing Gold & A-Wing Gold)
Mission 5: ATR group Yoriek frequently crashes into the Cruiser Lacodi. On occasion they will crash into a capital ship on their way to hyperspace depending on where they are when the cruiser is disabled.
Overlapping flight groups with the same identifying color (There are two X-Wing Blue groups in this mission, as well as Tie Defender Rapido and A-Wing group Rapido)
Stormtrooper Transport Starway, Shuttle Escape and Escort Shuttle Alpha 4 all have escape waypoint routes that will cause them to crash into the base of the Cruiser Lacodi and explode. If not disabled far enough away from the cruiser CORT Zack will crash into the cruiser and explode when trying to dock with the disabled ships.
All Imperial fighters and ATR group Yoriek will obey the player orders.
Tie Defender Rapido will never arrive due to being given a none (FALSE) arrival condition instead of always (TRUE). As a result of this none of mine group MZK will arrive, meaning that A-Wing group Rapido will never arrive.
Shuttle Escape has to be captured for a bonus goal but has to be destroyed for a secondary goal as well.
