If you are looking for a very quick and easy FCHG point, this one's for you. Mission complete after inspecting a supply depot. If you're looking for a challenge or a high score, stick around for some dog fights, but I just got frustrated trying to dogfight this game's AI without warheads or a tractor beam. I guess I'm just lazy.

It is presented as a prequel to a bigger battle. So it creates several questions and leaves them unanswered. Not sure which battle it is, if I find out after this review perhaps I'll double-back and edit it for others to know. As a standalone mission, it's not that great. It presents a puzzle of how to get the high score, which judging by the rest of the design, it looks more like a fluke rather than intentional. Fly it for completion points.

Some good missions, the rest, no comment...

Well, the reason I gave it a 1 is...... huh...... well, I guess being bug free is a good reason. (No offense Shaw :P)

Episode 1 was enough prequel garbage for several life times. Nevertheless, this mission was pretty good, I thought. It ran well, no bugs or problems. The plot just didn't make sense because it's a "prequel."

Description:
------------
In the last few weeks we've been receiving some troubled reports. It appears that
a recently un-explored sector, Tuluth, is inhabited by an equally unexplored race of
people. We've done some scans and some inspecting and it seems all we could find was an
area with a few containers. This looks highly suspicious to us and so we've decided to
send a recon mission to inspect these.

Expanded Description:
---------------------
It was early according to his timer. This pilot couldn't remember the last time
he had gotten a good night's sleep. He taps his watch, willing it to go faster but the
ticks come, one by one, slow as time planned it. He gets up and walks around his quarters.
Why had he been having such problems with insomnia? As he pondered his lack of sleep a
small buzzer went off.
"Time to hit the briefing room!", he said to himself. He hurried off to the room
that had occupied much of his time lately. As he entered, a young, comely woman looked up
from a small stack of papers. Through a quick glance he noticed a large map laid open on
the table with two small blocks. Nothing else.
	He saluted and presented himself.
"Ma'am, Colonel Shawshank reporting as ordered, Ma'am."
She had already gone back to her maps and papers and seemed to be ignoring him.
He stood for what seemed like hours. After a few seconds she realized he had not sat down
yet.
"Sit down, Colonel. Why must you be so formal about EVERYTHING?" she said
annoyedly.
"Ma'am, It's how I was trained, Ma'am!" was his only response.
"Well sit your butt down and let's get to work."
He sat down and looked at the stack of papers in front of him. They read
'Confidential' and 'Top Secret'. They had his name on them so he picked them up, and
opened them.
"Ma'am, " he began, "These are just pict..."
"Yes, I know this, Colonel." she interrupted. "Just containers, I know. Doesn't
that strike you as odd?"
	"I wouldn't know, Ma'am. I don't know anything right now. I was just enlisted
and already I'm reading top secret documents... and they're of containers? I don't even
know who the hell you are, pardon my frankness."
"You don't even recognize your own squadron commander? I'm Leiutenant Colonel
Sarriss."
His face turned red, how much more could he embarrass himself? Apologies were
made and they began to go over the mission.
"This will be a simple in and out mission. Your TIE Defender has to be worked on
after the stunt you pulled in that last mission, so we're allowing you to borrow another.
It's designation will be Delta-1. You will have one wingman. You are to enter the area,
inspect these containers, and then hyperspace back here. We've received no reports of
hostile targets nor any targets whatsowver, save these containers. After you return we
will go over your collected data and see what's going on. Any questions?"
"Yeah..." he said with a small choke in his throat, "Do I have a choice as to
whether to accept this mission or not?"
"No. Dismissed." She saluted and then shooed him out the door. As he walked
down the corrider towards the elevator which would take him to the flight deck, he pulled
and tugged at his flight suit. A nauseating claustrophobia came upon him and he leaned
to the side just in time to puke into a garbage can. Four years in a rebel prison didn't
allow him the leisure of feeling at ease. He knew that every time he went out was another
risk of going back in. These things he thought about as he walked down the hallway.
