I appreciate the story telling, but the way they went about it the goal text gave you NO IDEA what you were supposed to be doing. I ended up just opening each mission in YOGEME to see what the actual goals were.

A very interesting battle. The theming was well done, if not directly lifted from an animated movie. Some of the missions were challenging and required specific steps to be completed in specific orders, which can be frustrating at times, but I do ultimately appreciate from a mission design perspective.

A very original battle, and though it had a major flaw in Hard level in mission 3, which was kind of afrustrating after diasbling over 2 dozens of Pinooks and some T/Ds, it rolled down smooth like a charm in Easy mode. The missions are very much attached to a peculiar plotline, which if you are unaware of, like myself, of the Ice Age lore, will lose much of the intended interest, but somehow it's a perfectly crafted battle, confusing at times, but worth a lot of fun while playing it.

Note that I've comleted only 2 custom EH battles now. I've not seen Ice Age: the movie, so the storyline did not make much sense to me. The briefings and debriefings should have made things more clear as to what are you supposed to do - which is not to try anything fancy like disabling the tug. Apart from the last mission, the goal is always to shoot enemy fighters, which is boring. And mission 3? Puzzle solution number one (see mission spoiler[s], woohoo). Flying only in T/D superfighter is boring too. And fighting several T/Ds alone is boring and rather difficult, but their flares were simply unforgivable. FLARES. On "Hard" difficulty, I couldn't (and wouldn't be arsed) to complete it, on "Medium" it was too EASY! What gives? On the bright side, the final mission was great - despite the fact that when the imps were dead (for I chose so), the reb fighters began to shoot at each other. I give this battle one point for the obvious effort, and second one for the final mission alone, a total of 2/5.

Great battle, very fun to play, although mission 3 was kinda hard considering the tug kept on getting blasted by the dodos, which pushed my flying to its limits. The last battle was awesome, seeing the ISDs hyper in and start slugging it out gave it a real Battle of Endor like feeling. Even in a Defender I felt vulnerable.

You're getting a 5 from me. Realy amusing battle. Not to hard (except for mission 3), not to easy. Nicely done!

Not a bad battle (good job Mosh!); however, be warned mission 4 is not easy;p.

Ingenius to say the least. Disney should hire Mosh to work for them, this would have saved me from watching the movie. Killing rebels should be a disney thing anyway. I believe however that it was a tad strayed from the EH perspective, and a bit simpler than he could have done it. In other words, an excellent battle, but he could have went all out to get that 5.

Insanely hard at times, but great throughout. Stay's true to the movie too!

Same frustrating bug as my fellow officers. Mission 3 is finished, everything looked in green lettering and a big sign of mission accomplished, but upon exiting the mission, it is marked as failed. I've completed this annoying disable-all-you-see mission over 5 times, trying in every occasion to find out where was my mistake. I even docked on the Corellian Gunship to see if that was the missing piece of this terrible battle. Alas it kept on grading a failed mission. Very frustrating.

Mission 3 is bugged. Even when you get the victory conditions it says you failed. Which is really fun when you had to repeat mission 3 15+ times because of how hard it was only to fail it again.

Mission 3, won't complete, if you get the victory conditions, and end, it'll give you mission failed and make you redo it.

You play CPT Diego, CMDR of Sabre squadron of the pirate VSD Tigers. The Tigers are a former Imperial wing who, in the rise of the New Republic, have turned to piracy and blackmail to make a living. They have been highly successful and managed to hang onto and maintain their high calibre ships although at present there are no funds to burn on missiles.

Q: Do I need to see the movie Ice Age before flying this battle?
A: No. The plot is only loosely base on the film and should make good sense without having seen it although it would obviously make the references more amusing if you had. Don't forget to read the CMDR's briefings before each mission, they should make the events much clearer, especially if you haven't seen the film.

============

Mission 1: Raid
The Tigers raid a rebel base in search of a science project codenamed The Baby in the hope that they can sell it back to the highest bidder. The Baby however, is ejected in an escape pod and picked up by passing traders Manny and Sid.

Mission 2: Chase
You are assigned to track down Manny and Sid and persuade them to hand over The Baby using force if necessary. When you find them however, they are being attacked by two Rebel ATRs and The Baby is in danger unless you can save them.

Mission 3: Dodo Diversion
It transpires that The Baby is actually an infant of some kind so you agree to lead Manny and Sid to the Rebel convoy that is leaving the area so that they can return it. In what may be a lucky miscalculation of the jump co-ordinates, you come across a group of survivalists called Dodos who have the supplies you need for the journey. Just as the Dodos have been dealt with, The Emperor's Hammer arrive to purge the area as part of Operation Ice Age in which they are wiping out whole sectors of undesirable or plain idiotic life forms. Your commitment to kidnapping The Baby begins to wane.

Mission 4: Double Cross Half Peak
The rest of the Sabres are waiting for you at Half Peak base ready to ambush Manny and Sid and take back The Baby. Just before you lead them into danger your concience pricks and instead you send them on a safe route to Glacier Pass, the actual convoy and head off to face the Sabres alone.

Mission 5: Taking Pinky Home
Just as you are about to hand The Baby back to the New Republic, The Emperor's Hammer forces arrive to continue Operation Ice Age and lay claim to it saying it was originally stolen from their laboratory. Who you give The Baby back to is up to you but either way, the other side will not be pleased.
