It's pretty good. Could do with less waves, more danger. Very impressed by some of the ship placement though, very unique

As previously mentioned, this battle feels more like a traditional X-wing battle, rather than a “go here and destroy x” type of mission seen in the previous battles. There is also an interesting use of ships with a specific placement to create the appearance of larger emplacements. I enjoyed it.

This was the first battle of XW-TC series that actually felt like a battle, with some story progress. The missions were quite time consuming, pehraps with the enemy waves being set a little too high. Much like all other custom made missions and battles, this one suffers from large scale conflict syndrome.

Installation:
----------------------
note: the original mission files will be overwritten, back up any files with the same names.

X-Wing CD Installation:
1. Download and install XCD from the SCO Site (http://sco.minos.net), files archive, the edittors section. (6k.)
This will let you run custom missions. There is a full guide available at the SCO site as well.
2. Put the *.BRF and *.XWI files in your new "C:\Mission" folder and use XCD to start X-Wing CD. Create a new pilot
based on your pin and the battle's type and name. For example: 2883tc01.plt if I were flying the first XW-TC battle.
3. Fly the first 4 "Historical Combat" missions for the "X-Wing".

X-Wing 95/Disk Installation:
1. Run full install of the game so the mission files will be on your hard drive. The game will take its mission
information by preference from the hard disk, but might still give a warning. In that case - Ignore.
2. Locate your X-W Directory and open the folder labeled "Mission", or "Classic" in X-W95. Copy the *.xwi, *.brf files
of this custom battle into it.
3. Create a new pilot based on your pin and the battle's type and name. For example: 2883tc01.plt if I were flying
  the first XW-TC battle.
3. Fly the first 4 "Historical Combat" missions for the "X-Wing".

NOTE
-------------------
1. You need X-W CD or '95, as far as i know no other patches are needed. I cannot assure it will run on X-W disk as it
might exceed its maximum craft amount. You'd need the B-Wing and Imperial Pursuit add-ons to play.

Description
-----------
This battle is part of a series of free missions and now battles about each of the squadrons in the ASF doing missions
following their squadron objective in their assigned craft. Each mission tries to give a feel and a bit of history of
each of the Squadrons. All the storylines of the missions are interconnected and have the ASF Squadrons join together
against a common foe. In timeline this battle takes place just after the free missions.

Part 1 of a Trilogy about Avenger Elite Squadron.

Story Line
----------

MISSION 1: "Because LT Brucmack used his industrial strength hairdryer without reading the manual first, the VSDII Aggressor
blew about every fuse it had. As such it's now stuck outside the Minos Cluster without shields and only partial lighting
and heating. We're lucky the hyperdrive still seems to work.
We have good indications from the ID that the New Republic will use our trouble to take on the Aggressor and destroy it.
The murder of our Combat Operations Officer would certainly be a blow to EH morale and would destabilize EH forces in the
Minos Cluster.
The Aggressor will try to hyper out towards a rendezvous with CD ships carrying the needed parts - but it will need some
time to get to its hyperspace point. During this time Avenger Flight 2, including LT Brucmack, will be on patrol around the
ship."

MISSION 2: "The VSDII Aggressor's electrical system has been repaired by the Corporate Division Freighters met at the
rendezvous. The freighters have finished docking and are now under way to their hyperspace points.
Because we jumped just once, there is a good possibility that the New Republic has by now traced the VSDII Aggressor's
hyperspace path. This means they might send in a raid any moment now - most likely set up as a hit and fade."

MISSION 3: "Fully repaired, the Aggressor is now on its way back into the Minos Cluster to tackle Rebel Squadrons therein.
Because the Minos Cluster is hard to navigate, the Aggressor will need to take aboard a Pilot that knows the area well.
The Customs Base where we will pick up our Pilot is on the edge of the Minos Cluster where its main purpose is to stop
contraband from entering the Emperor's Hammer Territories. Our Commander has promised to help them out while we're there
anyway."

MISSION 4: "Avenger Flight 2 will jump in first and check the cargo of the craft around the smuggler base we found. In
the event of finding any Chemical Weapons, Crusader Squadron will hyper in to disable the craft carrying these ships. A
Shuttle will come to capture the disabled ships while Avenger Flight 1 and 3 fly escort.
The Chemical Weapons we found being smuggled into the Emperor's Hammer Territories were of the nerve gas type and
particularly suited for terrorist actions in our larger cities. Obviously we want to root out these smugglers as quickly
as possible... This is why we want to capture smugglers to interrogate."
